I hope you’ve enjoyed my selected quotes for Day 1 and Day 2 from the ‘3 Quotes in 3 Days’ challenge that Small Town Blogger nominated me for. Thank-you Small Town Blogger, this challenge has been so much fun!
Here is my final quote for this challenge:
Quoting yet another well-known author of our times, this one has been taken from Kahlil Gibran’s poetic read, The Prophet.
I for one hate farewells, and this quote takes me back to many a mournful goodbye, be it to a loved one lost, or a tearful separation at the airport. It hints of words left unsaid, of rediscovering the depth of a relationship far too late.
The quote also relates to the human fallacy of taking everything, including relationships, for granted.
When we were little, my mother often told us siblings that we would appreciate the value of our bond when we were living our separate lives as adults. Back then, we were always in each other’s faces, I being the older bully over the two. Now that I live many miles across the globe from my siblings, I miss them everyday. I miss our carefree childhood and epic antics only we can treasure together.
I am over the moon my sister is visiting me this month, yet I’m dreading her hour of departure. I perpetually hate airports (unless I’m off on holiday myself ofcourse!).
Rules:
- Post 3 of your favorite quotes each per day for 3 recurrent days. The quotes can be of any other people or it may come straight from your own heart.
